Gomashio is a dry, slightly salty condiment you can sprinkle over meals, rice, soup, noodles, porridge, salads and more. This is our version of the classic Japanese seasoning, with the added benefit of spirulina, which adds a mild seaweed flavor. We make it from lightly toasted white sesame seeds, spirulina and Bali sea salt.
Sesame seeds are a good source of fiber and healthy fats and may help lower cholesterol and high blood pressure. Spirulina, or blue green algae, is a nutrient-dense plant protein that may help reduce anemia and improve muscle strength.
