How the Nuts & Chocolate Bar story started…
It all started with this funny story: we had 10kg of 100% dark chocolate in our stock that we had ordered by mistake. So our RnD worked on a special limited edition product that would use this chocolate until gone. The simply called “Nuts & Chocolate Bar” was born. But through the whole island of Bali, people started talking about it as the new decadent vegan treat and dessert you should absolutely have once in your lifetime. Some even compared it to a drug and called it very “addictive” names! Word of mouth worked so well, that some friends of ours contacted us and asked if we could make it gluten-free, so we did some tasting with them, and the new gluten-free Nuts & Chocolate Bar became our very first best-selling dessert/snack item since 2017 and it is still to this day! (we then had to re-order 100% dark chocolate of course!).
This bar makes for a tasty mid-day snack or rich healthy dessert (or a pre or post hike, really). This vegan and gluten-free friendly treat is packed with peanuts and cashews, which are a good source of plant protein and healthy fats. We add a coconut cream layer and finish the bar with a coating of this famous rich dark chocolate on top. It might melt a bit if you wait too long, but we haven’t noticed anyone really complaining about it, we guess it’s simply because it does not have the time to melt, precisely:)

A word about our bakers!
In the heart of our bustling island, there exists a team of very special individuals who have dedicated themselves to the art of baking and helped our bakery rise to where it stands now, since 1994. These talented bakers, from all around Indonesia, including Bali, have become an integral part of Bali Buda family, bringing smiles to countless faces with their breads, cakes and treats!
Each day, as the sun rises, these diligent local bakers gather in our bakery, ready to embark on their craft. With sleeves rolled up and flour-dusted hands, they pour their passion into every loaf of bread and every pie they make. For almost three decades, these Indonesian bakers have poured their hearts into all the beautiful products we serve and sell to you, everyday. From the crack of dawn to late into the night, their hands are kneading dough, so our bakeries can be supplied with fresh bread as soon as our doors open.
As we reflect on these past 3 decades, we are filled with gratitude for the spirit and unwavering dedication of our Indonesian bakers. Their tireless efforts have brought sweetness and delight to countless moments of our lives, from daily breakfast rituals to special occasions and milestones.
