Savis Halimun Organic Red Tea in a can!
Halimun Red Tea is a type of tea produced from the Camellia sinensis plant, specifically from the leaves of a variety known for its reddish color. This tea is often referred to as “red tea” in Indonesia, but it is distinct from what is commonly known as “black tea” in other parts of the world. In Indonesia, the term “red tea” is used to describe what is internationally known as “black tea.” Halimun Red Tea is named after Mount Halimun, a mountain located in the western part of Java, Indonesia. The area surrounding Mount Halimun is known for its lush vegetation and favorable climate for growing tea. The tea leaves used to produce Halimun Red Tea are cultivated in this region, where they benefit from the high altitude, cool temperatures, and ample rainfall.
The flavor profile of Halimun Red Tea is characterized by its bold, robust taste with a smooth finish. It often has malty, fruity, and slightly sweet notes, making it a popular choice among tea enthusiasts. The reddish color of the brewed tea is attributed to the oxidation process the leaves undergo during production.
Halimun Red Tea can be enjoyed hot or cold and is often served plain or with a splash of milk and a sweetener, such as sugar or honey. It pairs well with a variety of foods and is commonly enjoyed with breakfast or as an afternoon pick-me-up.
