In Indonesia, the term “red tea” is used to describe what is internationally known as “black tea.” Halimun Red Tea is named after Mount Halimun, a mountain located in the western part of Java, Indonesia. The area surrounding Mount Halimun is known for its lush vegetation and favorable climate for growing tea. The tea leaves used to produce Halimun Red Tea are cultivated in this region, where they benefit from the high altitude, cool temperatures, and ample rainfall.
The flavor profile of Halimun Red Tea is characterized by its bold, robust taste with a smooth finish.
