We borrowed our Italian great-grandmother’s secret recipe for her rich red Pomodoro tomato sauce with classic Italian herbs for seasoning. Use generously over pasta, rice or grains, or in cooking. You can add vegetables, meat, chicken, tofu, tempeh, cheese or serve by itself. We make our Pomodoro Sauce by simmering together tomatoes, onion, Bali heritage garlic, green olives, extra virgin olive oil, Bali sea salt, rosemary, thyme, basil and cane sugar. Tomatoes are loaded with Vitamin A, essential for healthy eyes, Vitamin C, for a strong immune system and lycopenes, which are good for heart health. Extra virgin olive oil is one of the best oils you can eat, full of healthy fats and antioxidants that can help reduce the risk of heart disease, and Vitamins E and K for good cellular health.
