Savis Organic Halimun Green Tea is a type of green tea sourced from the lush region surrounding Mount Halimun in western Java, Indonesia. Named after this picturesque mountain, Halimun Green Tea boasts a unique flavor profile and aromatic qualities attributed to the pristine environment in which it is cultivated.
This green tea undergoes minimal oxidation during processing, preserving its vibrant green color and delicate flavor characteristics. The tea leaves are carefully harvested and then quickly steamed or pan-fired to halt the oxidation process, ensuring that the tea retains its freshness and natural green hue.
Halimun Green Tea is known for its fresh, grassy flavor with subtle floral undertones and a clean, refreshing finish. The aroma is often described as vegetal and slightly sweet, reminiscent of freshly cut grass and spring blooms.
To prepare Halimun Green Tea, water that is around 175°F to 185°F (80°C to 85°C) is typically used for steeping. The tea leaves are infused for 1 to 3 minutes, depending on personal preference and desired strength. Overstepping can result in a bitter taste, so it’s essential to monitor the brewing time carefully.
Halimun Green Tea can be enjoyed both hot and cold, making it a versatile beverage option year-round. It pairs well with a variety of foods, including light salads, seafood dishes, and delicate pastries. Some people also appreciate it as a palate cleanser between courses during meals.
In addition to its delightful taste and aroma, Halimun Green Tea offers numerous health benefits associated with green tea consumption. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and may support overall well-being and promote longevity when consumed as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
