Our vegan cashew cheese is a great dairy-free alternative for those craving cheese. If you’re looking for a lactose-free option, vegan cheese is a healthy choice. It’s lower in fat and less processed. Use in sandwiches, salads, with our gluten-free crackers or grate over food. We make our vegan cheese from filtered water, cashew nuts, carrot, miso paste, homemade tahini, coconut oil, Dijon mustard, agar-agar, Bali sea salt, sweet paprika powder, and cayenne powder.
Miso is a fermented food made from soybeans that helps restore or maintain gut health. Sesame seeds (tahini) are a good source of fiber and healthy fats and may help lower cholesterol and high blood pressure. Coconut oil is a good source of healthy fats that are important for proper brain function, reducing hunger and raising the good blood cholesterol (HDL) levels. Cashews have a low glycemic index (GI), which means they won’t spike your blood sugar levels, and are full of fiber, to help digestion, healthy fats and high-quality plant-based protein. They’re also loaded with magnesium, which helps with heart health as well as regulating nerves and blood pressure. Cashews may also be good for people with Type 2 diabetes by controlling blood sugar and insulin levels. We use organic cashews that we source from an independent collective in Wonogiri, Indonesia, that supports small-holder farmers and their families.
